LAHORE: In a surprising change, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has opted not to take disciplinary action against the players involved in misconduct during the recent tours.
Following discussions with foreign head coaches Jason Gillespie and Gary Kirsten, and the newly-appointed cricket advisor, Waqar Younis, the board has decided to prioritise team unity and performance in the coming international season, revealed a PCB official.
The board is confident that the coaching staff can handle any internal conflicts and restore harmony within the squad. As Pakistan gear up for the Test series against Bangladesh, Gillespie will arrive in Rawalpindi next week to commence a training camp.
The future of senior players Mohammad Amir and Imad Wasim, who were recalled for the T20 World Cup, will be evaluated at a later stage, with the white-ball cricket season commencing in November.
