KARACHI: Intra District PCB Challenge Cup Two-Day Cricket Tournament (Karachi Region) 2024-25 took place in Group E between Zone-V Whites and Zone-IV Whites on July 23rd and 24th.
Zone-IV Whites emerged victorious with a convincing win by 9 wickets.
Zone-V Whites batted first but struggled, collapsing to a total of 160 runs with no batsman reaching the half-century mark. In response, Zone-IV Whites took control of the match, amassing a total of 261 runs.
Notable contributions came from Naimat Khan, who scored 69 runs, and Abdullah Raffaee, who added 46 runs to the total. In their second innings, Zone-V Whites faced challenges again, being bowled out for 168 runs.
Zone-IV Whites needed just 69 runs to secure the win, which they achieved with ease, finishing at 69/1. The top performer of the match was 19-year-old Rumail Sarocsh Ahmed from Zone-V Whites.
He not only took 5 wickets for 71 runs in his 14 overs with 2 maidens but also made a brisk 17 runs off 25 balls, including 2 fours and a six.
