Rain is a divine blessing. But this mercy often turns into trouble for the residents of Karachi. Even light showers disrupt the city's infrastructure and create a mess on the streets. The mild rain reveals the poor drainage system of our homes as dirty water and garbage overflow from various places. Sadly, no one seems to pay attention or take action. A 20-minute rain spell is enough to disrupt our sewage system and filthy water with debris is seen flowing from different points, but no one is there to witness or address the issue.
The situation has been like this for a long time and it is disheartening to see our city suffer due to such problems. I earnestly request that the authorities take immediate action to resolve the sewage issues in Karachi so that the roads remain intact and no one faces any harm.
