At the invitation of Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori, the spiritual leader of the Dawoodi Bohra community, Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin, visited the Governor House on Tuesday.
During his visit, he had a one-on-one meeting with the governor where they discussed his Pakistan tour, promoting religious harmony, tolerance, and understanding during Muharram. The spokesman for the governor said Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin announced a donation of 100 laptops for students enrolled in IT courses under the governor’s initiative at the Governor House. He also offered special prayers for the governor and praised his welfare efforts, emphasizing that serving humanity was a true form of devotion.
Earlier, upon his arrival at the Governor House, Syedna was greeted with a floral welcome by scouts, and bands from the army, air force, navy, and police presented a salute. Governor Tessori warmly welcomed Syedna, who reciprocated with a warm handshake. The governor presented Syedna with a shawl and a Tasbi.
Following this, the Bohra community leader met with the governor alongside a 10-member delegation, and discussed the community’s role in the national economy and other matters. Governor Tessori expressed his gratitude for Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin’s visit to Pakistan, especially during Muharram, which he believed would foster harmony and unity. He expressed his desire for Syedna to visit every year during Muharram.
The Bohra community leader shared his happiness about visiting Pakistan and thanked the governor for the warm reception and salute. The governor hosted a reception in honour of Syedna and expressed his appreciation for his visit.
Speaking to the media, the governor said it was an honour to have Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin at the Governor House, noting that over 50,000 members of the Dawoodi Bohra community from around the also visited Pakistan, benefiting the country’s economy.
Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin, who previously visited in 2017, has always prayed for Pakistan’s economy during his visits. MQM-Pakistan leader Anees Qaimkhani was also present. The governor highlighted that Syedna appreciated the ongoing IT classes under the governor’s initiative and donated 100 laptops for the students.
Tessori said Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin prayed for Pakistan’s prosperity and announced the establishment of an interest-free trust in Pakistan, where funds from the global community would be deposited.
