Eid loadshedding

We spent the three days of Eidul Azha in our native village in Lakki Marwat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa amidst sweltering heat. There was no relief from loadshedding. The villagers could not exchange Eid greetings with their near and dear ones and the meat kept in the refrigerators went bad. If there are dues against certain consumers and they are reluctant to pay them, better to take strict action against these specific individuals instead of forcing everyone to burn in the scorching heat.

The attitude of the centre in terms of power outages on the eve of Eidul Azha towards KP was undemocratic and immoral and smacks of bias or prejudice, in my view. Such treatment gives rise to hatred and antagonism, which is not a good omen for this already crisis-ridden country.
