While in Lahore during the Eid holidays, I observed that the local municipal services seemed far more efficient when it came to collecting animal remains and other associated waste as compared to those charged with doing the same job in Karachi. Karachi, where those in charge have apparently been in a deep sleep for the last several decades, also deserves this level of performance from its municipal services and its authorities should learn from the example of Lahore.
