PESHAWAR: At a time when public sector hospitals in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are facing a host of issues, Prof Dr Nausherwan Burki, who is considered the architect of much-trumpeted health reforms of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in KP, has finally arrived in Peshawar from US and took charge as chairman of the Board of Governors (BoG) of Lady Reading Hospital (LRH).

He is scheduled to meet the faculty members of LRH on Monday to learn about their grievances and the issues concerning the hospital.

He initiated health reforms in KP and was instrumental in the passage of the Medical Teaching Institution Reforms Act 2015 from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly in 2015.
