Giovanni Pernice is all set to bid farewell to BBC's Strictly Come Dancing.
This emerged when BBC did not announce Pernice as part of its line-up of professional dancers for the 2024 season.
Pernice, who previously won the Italian Championships dance competition, lifted the Strictly glitterball trophy along with EastEnders star Rose Ayling-Ellis in 2021.
The 33-year-old Italian professional dancer, who first joined the show in 2015, was last paired with Sherlock actress Amanda Abbington.
Notably, Abbington withdrew from the competition in 2023 for "personal reasons."
Meanwhile, Pernice previously debunked accusations of "abusive or threatening behavior," explaining that he looks "forward to clearing my name."
Speaking on the subject, the Strictly dancer claimed: "Those who have followed my journey on Strictly Come Dancing over the last decade will know that I am passionate and competitive."
"No-one is more ambitious for my dance partners than me. I have always striven to help them be the very best dancers they can be. This has always come from a place of love and wanting to win - for me and my dance partners."
While a legal firm claimed that the broadcaster is "evidence gathering," BBC has not confirmed the development.
