New leaks

This refers to the editorial, ‘New leaks’( May 11). The Panama leaks’ second instalment, and any future leaks are not going to make any difference in our political atmosphere because the government is deliberately trying to divert people’s attention from the issue. The issue is not of corruption and money laundering, but of operating accounts in offshore companies with the money looted from the country. We have a plethora of investigation agencies, and yet we encounter massive corruption on the daily basis. Is that not ironic? Why is corruption being tied up with the Panama leaks?

We need action straightaway. Parliamentarians will never make laws against corruption because they consider themselves above the law. In this situation, the Supreme Court is the last hope of people.
