The combination of scorching heat and power outages is called summer in Pakistan. The government should be taking effective measures to help counter extreme heat but is too busy playing dirty politics. Meanwhile, people are paying their inflated power bills but getting lengthy power cuts in return. What will become of those who cannot afford a generator, UPS or solar? What should they do? The government should at least order KE, Wapda and other power companies to cooperate with the people during the hot season.
