This letter refers to the editorial ‘Fighting terror’ (May 28, 2024). As pointed out in the editorial, the frequency of terror attacks on our troops has certainly increased causing martyrdom of our soldiers and inflicting heavy casualties on terrorists.
The point to understand is that we have 2640 kilometres of porous border that are being continuously breached by terrorists from across the border. The solution lies in immediate contact with the Afghan Taliban to secure the borders.
