Islamabad, WAPDA, PAF record wins

LAHORE: Islamabad, WAPDA and Pakistan Air Force (PAF) recorded wins in their second round of the All-Pakistan Muhammad Majid and Abdul Nasir Memorial Basketball Tournament at Siddique Memon Sports Complex in Karachi.

Islamabad outclassed strong Police 87-62. Some brilliant game was witnessed during the match as Gibran Asif scored 26, Ali Kazmi netted 15 and Momin Javed managed 14 points. Ali Raza scored 34 points for Police. In the second match WAPDA conquered Balochistan 69-22 with Zain-ul-Hasan top-scoring 22 points.

Aalee Jah made 20 points. The match concluded with 108-39 points. In the earlier matches Police beat Sindh Yellows 62-32 while Punjab Rangers beat Balochistan by 74-40. It is pertinent to mention here that Late Muhammad Majid and Abdul Nasir represented Pakistan in international and national basketball events.
