In a statement issued here on Sunday, the spokesperson said the company was leaving no stone unturned in its mission to enhance Lahore's cleanliness and beauty. Despite holidays, LWMC’s operation teams were actively engaged in cleaning across the City. LWMC’s loader dumper teams have been deployed in rural union councils. Additionally, mechanical work was in progress in Seraj Park, Paracha Colony, and Saeed Park in Shahdara.

Notably, more than 25 open plots were cleared in Ravi Town on the holiday and 20 garbage points have been successfully cleared in Nishtar Town, under the direction of CEO Babar Sahib Din. Special attention was being given to areas like Kamahan, Atari Saroba, Youhanabad, Dulo Khurd, and Ashiana Road, where waste is being efficiently managed from open plots. Mechanical work is also under way in Bagrian, Township, and Green Town to further enhance cleanliness standards.

CEO Babar Sahib Din emphasised the importance of citizen participation in maintaining cleanliness, urging people to refrain from littering in open plots. He highlighted the ongoing awareness campaigns aimed at educating citizens about the proper disposal of garbage, urging them to use dustbins. Citizens are encouraged to report cleanliness-related issues by contacting LWMC’s helpline at 1139 or through social media.
