“Yes surely I will represent my province in the SIFC meeting,” the chief minister confirmed to The News when reached if he would attend the meeting in Islamabad.

Also, Special Assistant to Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on information and public relations, Barrister Mohammad Ali Saif has said that Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has received an invitation from the federal government and he will attend the SIFC meeting today.

Barrister Saif, who is also a spokesman for the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, had earlier criticised the federal government for not inviting the chief minister to the SIFC meeting.

He had termed an extreme prejudice of what he called “form 47 government of Shehbaz Sharif” with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and its people. “Ignoring the province and its people from their representation in the Special Investment Facilitation Council is a great injustice to this province,” Barrister Mohammad Ali Saif had earlier stated on Thursday.

He had stated that the KP government would not implement what he termed “biased decisions made in SFIC meeting in Islamabad in the absence of Chief Minister Gandapur.

“The chief minister will definitely represent Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as he has received an invitation for attending the SFIC meeting. There are better opportunities for investment in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the chief minister will explain it in the meeting,” said Barrister Saif.

He said Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is rich in minerals and natural resources and there are many opportunities for investment in the province. He said they would fully facilitate the investors in KP, saying there are multiple sectors for investment in the province.
