LANDIKOTAL: The police on Thursday recovered five vehicles stolen from various areas of the country.
Anti-Car Lifting Cell’s Inspector Abid Khan Afridi told the media that an alleged car-lifting gang member identified as Malik Hussain Shinwari, son of Zain Shah, a resident of Landikotal, Khyber district, was arrested.
He said the arrest was made through an operation led by Zahidullah Afridi, in charge of the Anti-Car Lifting Cell, and his deputy Abdul Waheed.
He said the accused was apprehended red-handed.
During the operation, the official said, a stolen vehicle, a 1998 model Corolla, was recovered from the spot which had been stolen from Rawalpindi.
He said preliminary interrogation of the suspect led to the recovery of four more vehicles, including two Alto cars, one 1986 Corolla and one Toyota car.
