Hockey team leaves for Holland

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan hockey team was finally heading to Holland for a short training camp ahead of the Nations Challenge Cup after getting Dutch visas Thursday evening.

An official of the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has told ‘The News’ that the visas have been finally stamped and the team has left for Holland for a brief training camp ahead of the important Nations Cup.

The victory in Poland would help Pakistan regain their status as one of the top teams of the world, making them eligible to play FIH Pro League next season. “We are thankful to all those who have helped us get a Dutch visa after days of uncertainty. The team now has left for Holland for a short training camp before moving to Poland for Nations Challenge Cup,” the official said.
