Elon Musk, the owner of X, is likely to make yet another modification to the social media platform and this time he is after the "Like" and "Repost" options that are visible under a post.

According to reports, the tech billionaire is planning to make the number of likes and reposts less visible on X to improve readability and provide a less cluttered user experience.

Musk, 52, hinted at his next major overhaul to X's interface during his appearance at the Morgan Stanley technology, media, and telecom conference.

The metrics for likes and reposts will be accessible only when users tap or click on a post.

This change is part of Musk’s broader vision to refine the user experience on X, a platform he has been transforming since his acquisition in October 2022.

The proposed changes have elicited mixed reactions from X users and industry observers.

While some believe this change could foster a more authentic and pressure-free environment for sharing content, others fear losing valuable feedback mechanisms that these metrics provide.

Last year, Musk implemented the removal of article headlines accompanying links shared on the platform, to enhance aesthetic appeal but, after user feedback, this change was partially reversed, with article titles being incorporated within the URL card images.

However, the exact timeline for these changes remains uncertain.
