LAHORE: The ECB Women’s Development XI emerged victorious against Pakistan Women in their one-day warm-up match played at the County Ground, Northampton, on May 21.

The match was decided by the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern method (DLS) due to rain. Pakistan Women opted to bat first, but were all out for 150 in 43.2 overs. Sadaf Shamas top-scored for Pakistan with a knock of 30 runs off 39 balls, including five boundaries.

Hannah Baker led the attack, bagging a crucial four wickets for just 26 runs in her 9.2 overs. Ryana MacDonald-Gay provided excellent support, claiming three wickets for 28 runs.

ECB Women’s Development XI were in a strong position when rain intervened. They had reached 112 runs for the loss of five wickets in 20 overs. Emma Lamb and Freya Kemp played crucial knocks, the former scoring a steady 34 runs off 37 balls, and the latter 27 from just 22 deliveries.
