Apple is working on some amazing upgrades on iOS 18, which will be available for iPhone and iPad users once it's released.
The prime updates are related to the Apple Music and QuickTime apps and one of them is a mysterious aspect wrapped in an enigma, according to Tech Radar.
Much smoother audio transitions will apparently be delivered by this update. Moreover, there’s also a new feature called “passthrough” which seems to be connected to Dolby Atmos and Spatial Audio.
AppleInsider, which has been speaking to "people familiar with Apple's pre-release operating systems", confirms this.
Apple is also working on some other important features for its audio apps, as reports of the American tech giant going big on AI-powered features in iOS are being regarded as true.
Another new feature is currently called smart song transitions, and it is likely to be a better version of the crossfade option that fades one track into another.
With transitions that take from one second to twelve seconds, users will be able to adjust the duration of the fade. However, it depends on how they set their app preferences.
Additionally, one more feature that's making iPhone users curious is called "passthrough", which will only be accessible on "supported hardware".
It is expected to do something with Spatial Audio, and it'll be available in both Apple Music and QuickTime.
