Kelly Osbourne shares her thoughts on body-shaming

Ozzy Obourne's daughter Kelly has recently reflected on being body-shamed as a kid during The Osbournes Podcast.

"When I was a kid, I got pulled into the head of the agency's office and he was putting golf balls into a cup and gave me a whole speech about how I was too fat for TV and I needed to lose weight, and that if I lost weight, I would look better," recalled the 39-year-old.

Kelly, who decided to not publicly name the movie executive, shared that the incident happened after she was cast in Disney's 2003 adaptation of Freaky Friday starring Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis.

"I just booked a movie with Lindsay Lohan, Freaky Friday. I was gonna play her best friend, and then it was right before mom got diagnosed with cancer, so I quit," explained the actress.

Kelly continued, "And he was just saying, 'You're not a movie star, but you could be one if you lost weight.'"

Ozzy's son Jack interjected and said that "the most L.A. (expletive) ever".

"I know. As he's putting golf balls into a cup in his office. And I was just, like, this is the most insulting [thing]," he added.

Meanwhile, Kelly had opened up about some of the body-shaming comments she'd received over the years.

Speaking on Scheananigans podcast in September 2023 as a guest, the reality star admitted to host Scheana Shay that she kept a low profile during her pregnancy and "hid for nine months" to avoid any negative comments.
