Simone Biles has recently lashed out at online criticism over her marriage to NFL player Jonathan Owens.
On May 19, the gymnast took to Instagram Story and called out at online scrutiny after her husband showed support to his wife at the 2024 Core Hydration Gymnastics Classic in Connecticut.
“I'm going to quickly address this; the joke was never a joke! Y'all are blatantly being disrespectful to my relationship & my husband,” wrote Simone who tied the knot with Jonathan on April 22, 2023.
The gymnast said, “So I'm gonna go ahead and say this one time. Respectfully, (expletive).”
Simone also warned her followers, saying, “If you keep commenting or tweeting at me I'm just going to block you. Simple as that.”
“And no I don't need to touch grass or whatever y'all suggest,” continued the 27-year-old.
In the end, Simone added, “everyone else that supports us, we love y'all so much.”
Interestingly, Jonathan also posted on his IG Story, stating, “Being fake mad about people y'all don't know from a can of paint is weirdo behaviour.”
Back in April, Simone addressed criticism her husband Jonathan faced during an appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast.
“First of all, that interview had nothing to do with me,” stated the gymnast.
The Olympian further said, “He never said I wasn't a catch. He said he was a catch because he is. I've never met a man like him.”
“A lot of people that meet him are like, oh my gosh. I want a man like that, like Jonathan,” she noted.
Meanwhile, Simone said, “That really hurt that they were talking about my husband like that. Because for me, it's like talk about me all you want, but don't come for my family.”
