Dubai is at the forefront of the technological shift that the world is going through right now. With futuristic projects such as the Dubai Creek Tower and Marsa Al Arab, Dubai is set to become the world's centre of change, The National News reported.

The job market in the United Arab Emirates recovered quickly from the coronavirus pandemic as compared to other countries, largely due to government measures that incentivized companies to set up people and expand their operations.


According to the managing director of Hays Middle East, Oliver Kowalski, "67% of technology employers expect to grow their organisation’s headcount this year, most commonly by more than 10%."

As per the Cooper Fitch 2024 UAE Salary Guide, artificial intelligence, software development, and data science are among the top 10 skills in demand in the UAE.

By the end of this decade, it is estimated that AI alone will contribute $96 billion to the UAE’s economy.

The most in-demand roles in the IT industry are project manager, software developer, chief technology officer, and head of IT.

While the most in-demand technical skills and experiences in the UAE tech industry are Oracle Fusion, Java, Python, and test automation.
