Addressing the inaugural ceremony of the clinic on wheel programme here, he said the provincial government had taken several steps to improve the standard of civic life.

Kh Asif claimed that economy of Pakistan was in ‘ICU’ when the present government took charge, but it had now recovered a little due to the sincere efforts of the government. He said the opposition still wanted economic instability and unrest in the country just to divert the public attention from their lootings and to avoid accountability.

He said the PTI was interested only in gaining power to fulfil its agenda of hatred. He said that ‘power worshippers’ had started accepting the CJP as an indomitable person and soon they would say the same about the COAS.

Khawaja Asif said the CM was truly following Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) Quaid Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif by doing the politics of serving the masses and sincerely trying to solve their problems.

Along with the facilities to treat dental and eye diseases, the clinic on wheel or the mobile clinic would also be equipped with facility for mammography, he added.

He said a feasibility report had been prepared to accomplish four major projects for the development of Sialkot city. The provincial government, under its development programme, would construct the Sialkot Ring Road, which would then link to Wazirabad Road, Daska Road and Pasrur Road whereas the federal government would soon start the construction of Sialkot-Dharamkot dual carriageway.

He said that 53 acres would be acquired to construct a huge public park by shifting the district courts and many educational institutions out of the city on the Aimanabad Road. The general bus stand would also be shifted out of the city at a cost of Rs17 billion.

He said construction of a flyover from Cantt to Kashmir Road via Kotli Behram would also begin soon.
