This refers to the editorial, ‘The Republican nominee’ (May 9). The US is facing a leadership crisis. With Donald Trump as the Republican presidential nominee, the world faces a dangerous prospect should he succeed in getting to the White House.
Going by his slogans, he would impose his own world order and defy the uniqueness of American pluralism where people with different caste, religion, race, colour, language and social background coexist peacefully. This pluralism has been the greatest contributor to America’s greatness and success. One hopes the Americans will reject such dogmatic ideas.
