Crown Prince of Dubai Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed has approved the Dubai Quality of Life Strategy 2033, which aims to improve everyday life for its citizens, The National News reported.

Sheikh Hamdan announced the news on X via a post, in which he wrote: "Caring for people remains the cornerstone of Dubai’s sustainable development strategies."

Furthermore, he wrote: "Our objective is to establish Dubai as one of the world’s best cities in terms of wellbeing, offer every resident a healthy, active, and enjoyable lifestyle, build a society that takes pride in its identity and cultural diversity, and offer the highest quality of leisure and entertainment."

The plan is divided into three phases between 2024 and 2033. Under the project, the length of the beach cycling tracks will be increased by 300%, the night swimming beaches will be extended by 60%, and new beach areas will be created for women.

In addition, more than 30 new parks will be developed across the new emirate within the next the next three years. In these parks, up to 1,000 sports, cultural, artistic, and entertainment events will be hosted.

Moreover, more than 3,000 trees and plants will be planted, along with more pedestrians and cycling tracks across the city.

The Dubai Quality of Life Strategy 2033 is aligned with Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid’s Dubai 2040 Urban Plan, which aims to transform Dubai into a "pedestrian-, environment-, and family-friendly city."
