With Doctor Strange, Benedict Cumberbatch is all set to reinterpret what it means to be a superhero. But before that happens, you can always catch Cumberbatch in his all-new Shakespearean avatar. Thanks to the new BBC series, The Hollow Crown, some of British television’s most dynamic names are coming together for this modern-day adaptation of the Bard’s most iconic works. And perhaps the single biggest piece of news is the fact that the upcoming return of the series will feature Cumberbatch and his Sherlock nemesis Andrew Scott (who essayed the role of Moriarty on the detective series) in pivotal roles.

The series, divided into parts, first aired several years ago with Tom Hiddleston (Loki from Avengers) and Ben Whishaw (Q from James Bond franchise) taking on the primary roles.

In the upcoming The Hollow Crown: The Wars of the Roses, Cumberbatch essays the role of Richard of York (Richard III) while Andrew Scott is essaying the role of King Louis.

With a cast that includes names like acting legend Dame Judi Dench and Hugh Bonneville, the show is giving Game of Thrones a run for its money and has the potential to even surpass it. Watch out.
