Minister, advisor praise hockey team

ISLAMABAD: Information Minister Attaullah Tarar and Advisor to Prime Minister on Youth Programme Rana Mashhood Ahmed in a virtual talk with the Pakistan hockey team in Ipoh (Malaysia) hoped that the team will live up to the nation’s expectations in the final against Japan today (Saturday).

The two congratulated members on becoming the first Pakistan team in 14 years to make it to the final of Azlan Shah Cup. “You have given a fresh ray of hope to Pakistan hockey fans. The way you have played and moved into the final, came as a fresh hope for the hockey-loving nation. We hope that you will go on to win the final on Saturday,” Ataullah said.

Mashhood praised Head Coach Roelant Oltmans and other team officials for getting the best out of players. “You have performed beyond our expectations. The team will be awarded and supported.”
