KARACHI: The US is well-versed in the game of baseball and softball just like Pakistan is with cricket. The upcoming T-20 World Cup is the first time that the USA will host a mega cricket event, and it will flourish the game in the region, said US CG, Conrad Tribble.

He was talking to a delegation of the Softball Federation of Pakistan led by President Asif Azeem at the US Consulate. SFP is holding 15-day celebrations in connection with the 1st anniversary of World Baseball Softball Day on May 10 across the country.

Making special mention of the practice, scrimmage, and drills at the Consulate by the SFP to mark the occasion, Conrad Tribble said that these activities will create a special bond between the two nations as sports have a unique unifying power, transcending various limitations. He further said that sports have no boundaries, they bring people together irrespective of their colour, caste, religion or creed and it’s all about promotion of the peace, tranquility, and love among human beings at the international level.
