LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Mohsin Naqvi on Monday clarified that the 100,000 US dollars, which he has announced for each player of the Pakistan cricket team if they win the ICC T20 World Cup, will be given to them from the funds of the PCB.

“The 100,000 US dollars is not being given from my pocket or from the government’s exchequer but I am giving it from the PCB’s funds. And this amount is the income of the hard work of these players and they deserve it,” Naqvi said here on Monday.

“And if they win then I think it’s little amount and my desire was to give them more but at least it is their right,” Naqvi said. He hoped that Pakistan will win the World Cup. “InshaAllah we will win the World Cup,” Naqvi said.

Pakistan cricket team on Monday held its last training session here at the Gaddafi Stadium. On the Ireland tour Pakistan will play three T20I matches and then the Green-shirts will move to England to give final touches to their World Cup preparations by playing four T20I matches against England before moving to the US to begin their World Cup journey with their opener against the US on June 6 at Dallas.
