Education ministry prepares emergency plan to hire teachers for FDE institutions

ISLAMABAD: On the directive of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, the Ministry of Federal Education has prepared an emergency plan for hiring of teachers under the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE). The prime minister has directed Secretary Federal Education Mohiuddin Wani to meet the shortage of teachers in educational institutions of FDE and that there should be no out-of-school children in Islamabad.

As per the emergency plan, the FDE would ensure availability of 1,250 teachers which would benefit 43,750 students of FDE institutions. There would be one teacher for every 35 students.

As many as 383 teachers would be appointed on deputation while 130 teachers would be hired through the Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC).

Moreover, recruitment of other 500 teachers would be completed in the next couple of months.
