DIG Raza said the police were informed at noon on April 27 about the robbery of 140g of gold at a gold factory. He said the police launched their investigation, during which they obtained the suspects’ call records, and looked at the CCTV camera footage and other evidence.

The officer said the police found the incident suspicious. He said the Preedy police investigated factory owner Kashif, as well as his family members and relatives.

DIG Raza said Kashif admitted during the interrogation that he and his brother Adil had planned to rob their own factory. They robbed his nephew and relative to get rid of their financial problems and debts, he added.

The officer said the suspects claimed that they had planned to repay their loans with the gold they had robbed. A case has been registered against the four detained suspects at the Preedy police station.

Rizwan and Nawab admitted during the interrogation that they were involved in snatching cash and motorbike at gunpoint from two people sitting in front of a mosque in Block 21, Federal B Area, Gulberg Town, on the eve of Eid.
