Madadgar-15 reunites runaway boy from KP with father

The Madadgar-15 police recovered a runaway boy from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and handed him over to his father on Saturday.

Officials said Saifullah, an official of the Madadgar-15 Call Centre and fellow constable Sharmeen Niazi delivered 12-year-old Hasnain, son of Tayyab, to his father after he was found roaming in Future Colony area of Quaidabad. It was the constable who informed her in-charge.

According to information given by the boy, a rickshaw driver had been roaming with him for the last two days. The boy said he belongs to the Buner district but he falsely claimed that his parents had passed away.

The child said he lived with his maternal uncle, who used to torture him, and fed up with his life, he said he came to Karachi on a train eight days ago.

As soon as the information was received, Madadgar-15 Karachi took action and contacted the District Buner police and got the details of the child. The KP police traced the child’s father and home with the joint efforts of the Madadgar-15.

The boy’s father, Hayat, was immediately contacted, a resident of Karachi Landhi area, and informed that his son was present at the Sharafi Goth police station. The boy was handed over safely to his father, who told the SHO that the boy had run away from a madrassa and gone to Future Colony. He thanked the Madadgar-15 and KP police for finding the child safely. The Madadgar-15 DIG praised Constable Saifullah and Constable Sharmeen Niazi.
