As the Duke prepares to return to the UK, King Charles expresses his desire to meet his younger son, Prince Harry.

Reports suggest that Prince Harry has contacted his father, King Charles, to inquire whether the monarch would be willing to meet with him during his upcoming visit as a gesture of reconciliation.

Prince Harry is scheduled to attend a special service at St. Paul's Cathedral commemorating the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games, a sports competition for ex-servicepeople that he founded in 2014.

It's been reported that no senior royals will be present at the significant anniversary event with Prince Harry.

However, Prince Harry has reached out to his father, requesting a meeting while he is in the country.

The last time Prince Harry met with King Charles was shortly after the monarch's cancer diagnosis when Charles had begun regular treatment.

Due to the impromptu nature of the visit, Charles was only able to spend less than an hour with his younger son in London before returning to Sandringham to rest.

Sources has claimed that when Prince Harry contacted his father and asked for a meeting, King Charles had a simple four-word response to the request, that he would definitely do so 'if he is able'.

"Harry has kept in regular contact with his father on several occasions and made no secret of his desire to see him when he can," a source has said. "He has been especially concerned about him and hopes the King will be well and able to see him as planned."

Initially, after beginning his cancer treatment, Charles' medical team advised that he press pause on "public-facing engagements" although the King was able to carry on with business of state behind closed doors. In a major boost to the royals, King Charles' doctors have recently revised this advice, and said he can conduct some front-facing engagements because they are "sufficiently pleased with the progress made so far" by the monarch.

However, a royal source has made it clear that King Charles fully intends to fit Harry in, despite his packed schedule.
