Ryan Gosling has recently opened up about one Oscar role he would like to do over.
In a new interview with WSJ. Magazine's June/July issue, the Notebook star revealed the way his hand looked on La La Land movie’s poster bent opposite Emma Stone.
Ryan, who earned a Best Actor Oscar nomination for La La Land, said, “There's a moment that haunts me where we're dancing, Emma and I. And I didn't know this would become the poster for the movie.”
The Fall Guy actor recalled the moment before filming the scene, stating, “We were supposed to have our hands up, and I thought it'd be cool to put my hand like that.”
“Everyone told me it wasn't cool, but he was sure that [his bent hand gesture] was cooler than [having his hand straight up],” mentioned Ryan.
The Barbie star pointed out, “Now when I look at it and I have to see it all the time, you know what would have been cooler than this? That just killed the energy that way.”
“It's just a lazy… I call it 'La La Hand,’” he quipped.
Elsewhere in the interview, Ryan admitted La La Land “was the first” movie he did after making the decision not to “take roles that are going to put me in some kind of dark place”.
“This moment is what I feel like trying to read the room at home and feel like what is going to be best for all of us," explained the Drive actor.
Ryan added, “The decisions I make, I make them with [longtime partner Eva Mendes] and we make them with our family in mind first.”
