TDAP, UAE discuss trade

KARACHI: The chief executive of the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) met with the United Arab Emirates Consul General, Dr. Bakheet Ateeq Al-Remaiti, to discuss boosting bilateral trade relations, a statement said on Friday.

During the meeting on April 29, the UAE Consul General emphasized the strong friendship between the two nations and proposed a Pakistan Single-Country Exhibition in the UAE to enhance economic ties. He also reiterated the UAE's support for Pakistan in various areas.

The UAE has established a state-of-the-art visa section in Karachi, one of the largest in the world, to facilitate travel between the two countries, the Consul General said.

The TDAP chief assured the Consul General of organising a Pakistan Single Country Exhibition in the UAE soon and thanked the UAE for supporting Pakistani exhibitors at international events like Gulfood, Dubai.

He also extended invitation to the Consul General for a formal visit to TDAP. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks by the TDAP chief, further solidifying the mutual commitment to strengthening bilateral trade relations between Pakistan and the UAE.
