Not only did Messi lead his team to a 4-1 victory but he also managed to steal a title once held by Ronaldo during his Real Madrid days.

He won the Major League Soccer (MLS) Player of the Match day accolade. This marks Messi’s second Player of the Match day award, putting him on par with Luis Suarez, his former Barcelona teammate, a record once held by David Beckham and Landon Donovan.

Additionally, Messi’s presence in the United States contributed to setting a new attendance record at the renowned Gillette stadium in Massachusetts.

In an interview with Alexi Lalas, professor David Mosse narrated an incident, he said: "When Cristiano Ronaldo was at his peak at Real Madrid, there was a Madrid columnist named Alfredo Relano who said that when you have Ronaldo on your team, it’s like you start every match winning 1-0. And I kind of get that sense with Messi and Inter Miami right now."
