ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Information Secretary Raoof Hasan has ruled out the possibility of taking back Fawad Chaudhry as there is no green signal from Imran Khan in this regard.

During a private television channel talk show, when he was asked if Fawad was being taken back into the party’s fold within a week, Raoof said, “There is no such signal from Imran, and I don’t think that the party would accept him (Fawad) again.” He added that at this stage, he did not think, anyone would be welcomed back into the party and said there were many roaming about after facing political funeral.

Raoof believed that a younger and ideological cadre had emerged in the party during the last two years, particularly following the May 9 events. He contended that there were people who had tried before the general elections to rejoin the party but Imran had decided that they would not be allowed to do so.

“Now, all of a sudden there is a media hype about such people whom I call rats, who jumped the ship when the party needed them. I think there are certain forces behind this to create disloyalty in the party after they have used every method but PTI has been getting stronger,” he maintained.
