A commanding officer of the rank of SSP has come under scrutiny for allegedly targeting the Anti-Riot Unit instead of providing them with facilities. Reports suggest that penalties are imposed on favoured junior official ASI, who subjects unit personnel to humiliating punishment drills and imposes ground-based punitive measures on board employees. The officer is also accused of subjecting constables and head constables of the Anti-Riot Unit to confinement in a room for three days without any offense, followed by incarceration in the detention room for a week.

This situation has led to calls for intervention from top-ranking officials to address the allegations of administrative misconduct and restore trust and morale within the Federal Capital Police. The commanding officer is accused of borrowing cops to his close friends, and one of them refused to serve with the officer other than in the police force, resulting in severe punishment on the accusation of not serving the commanding officer's personal friend.

Additionally, a head constable attempted suicide when he refused to record a false statement against his ex-incharge DSP, who has retired from service. Authorities are urged to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter, ensuring justice is served, and accountability is upheld. The well-being and dignity of all personnel within the force must be safeguarded, and any instances of mistreatment or abuse of power must be met with appropriate disciplinary action.

As the investigation unfolds, the Federal Capital Police must prioritize transparency, accountability, and the promotion of a culture of respect and professionalism within its ranks to uphold its mandate of serving and protecting the public. A top cop has ordered an inquiry about the official responsible for creating unrest amongst the lower subordinates of the police force to ascertain the reality.
