ISLAMABAD: PTI leader Sher Afzal Marwat Thursday said the party’s founder chairman Imran Khan had reprimanded him for his statement on Saudi Arabia with regard to the ‘regime change operation’.

He was responding to a question about his statement during his talk with the media outside the Adiala jail in Rawalpindi.

PTI had to issue a detailed clarification and distanced itself from his statement.

Marwat said Latif Khosa had named Hamid Khan for the Public Accounts Committee but Hamid Khan was a senator, hence he could not become the PAC chairman.

Khosa had ‘revealed’ in a Geo programme that Hamid Khan was being made the PAC chairman owing to his experience.

However, he maintained that there was no forward bloc in the PTI. “The founder of PTI said there was no deal, no understanding.”

Regarding the general elections, he claimed that their mandate was first stolen on February 8 and then on April 21.
