ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Egypt will be having close consultations regarding developments in Yemen as Egyptian Defence Minister Sedki Sobhi is visiting Islamabad tomorrow (Monday) for two days trip to Pakistan to hold important talks with top officials of the host country. He will meet Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and convey to him the message of his President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi.
Highly placed diplomatic sources told The News that Egyptian defence minister who will be the first high-ranking minister of incumbent government of Egypt is visiting Pakistan. He will also visit GHQ Rawalpinid where he will have meeting with Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif.
He will also call on President Mamnoon Hussain during his stay in Islamabad.
Sedki Sobhi is visiting Pakistan on the invitation of his counterpart Khawaja Muhammad Asif who will be hosting dinner in his honour where the senior officers from three services will also be present.
Said Muhammad El-Said Hindam ambassador of Egypt to Pakistan has expressed hope that visit of his country’s defence minister to Pakistan would help enhance ties between the two brotherly countries.
