There is a job crisis in the European Union as, according to some reports, employers are struggling to find applicants with the right skills, with some 75 per cent reportedly saying that they were unable to do so during 2023. Conversely, Pakistan has a surplus of labour, with many engineers even without jobs. The government should ask the EU to help setup polytechnic institutes that would train young Pakistanis in the skills which are in high demand in the EU.
The government could provide the land, building and utilities on a fast-track basis. The EU would provide the training aids and the instructors. Besides teaching skills, there could also be basic language classes for the different European languages.
