Prince Harry is no longer holding out hope for a permanent residence in the UK after being “wounded” by the joint decision of King Charles and Prince William.
In documents filed for his eco firm Travalyst, the Duke of Sussex declared his new residence as the USA backdated to 29-06-2023, the day the monarch asked him to vacate Frogmore Cottage.
Harry, along with his wife Meghan Markle and kids, lived in the property at the Windsor estate gifted to him by the late Queen Elizabeth II on their wedding.
However, the Sussexes’ decision to give up their positions as working royals and move to the States bred animosity in hearts of the royals, prompting them to strip the couple off their home in the UK.
Speaking to The Sun, royal commentator Phil Dampier claimed, “As always with Harry a lot can be read into his actions.
"Being ousted from Frogmore Cottage wounded him deeply,” he noted.
“Charles and William knew it had to be done to emphasise Harry and Meghan were outside The Firm but he probably still thought he could keep a base here,” the royal expert explained.
“Now he’s shown he accepts his life is in the US,” Dampier added.
