RAWALPINDI: An Assistant Director of FBR has been kidnapped for ransom from Kamalabad, a locality of Rawalpindi falling in the jurisdiction of RA Bazaar Police Station when he left his house on 12th April with his friends but was abducted by unknown captors, the police said.
The captors demanded ransom for his safe release from his family, police sources quoting the complainant said. The police have registered case under Section 365 PPC and started information.
Mohammad Shafique, resident of Dhoke Syedan Road, Kamalabab, lodged a complaint with the RA Bazaar Police Station, saying that his brother-in-law, Rehmatullah Khan was working with FBR as Assistant Director, left his house on 12th April along with unknown friends and asked the family that he will come back home in the evening but didn’t return till next morning, however, his family tried to contact him on his cell phone but found switched off.
