American football player OJ Simpson, famously acquitted for the murders of his ex-wife Nicole Brown and her friend Ron Goldman, has left behind a staggering net worth of $3 million, The Independent reported.
Simpson has multiple streams of income including pensions and rents among others.
He receives $42,000 annually in pension from Screen Actors Guild and between $125,000 and $300,000 annually in pension from the National Football League (NFL).
Simpson was married to Brown for seven years before they separated in 1992. At the time of their divorce, Simpson had an estimated net worth of $10.8 million and a monthly income of $55,000. However, divorce settlements and child support resulted in significant reduction of his wealth.
He paid Nicole a lump sum amount of $433,750.
As it stands, his $3 million fortune looks to be going to his four surviving children Sydney, Jason, Justin and Arnelle Simpson.
His daughter Aaren drowned as a toddler in a swimming pool accident in 1979.
Goldman’s father, Fred, has recently alleged that Simpson hasn’t paid them blood money for the murder of their daughter.
As of February 2021, Goldman claimed that Simpson had paid only $123,000 and owes them $96 million.
