ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on Thursday said the government was spending every penny on the welfare of the people adding that the PML-N had always been mindful of this obligation whenever it came to power.
Talking to PML-N leaders and parliamentarians at the Prime Minister House, he said the implementation of development projects started by the government would change the fate of the people.
Nawaz who has started interacting with members of Parliament belonging to the ruling alliance and party stalwarts in the wake of the upcoming budget for the next year had a detailed discussion about development projects and the political situation with former KP chief minister Pir Sabir Shah and members of the National Assembly (MNAs) Najaf Abbas Sial, Malik Shakir Bashir Awan and Nasir Iqbal Bosal who called on him separately.
“The government has diverted resources for provision of basic amenities to the masses. The work on the projects has already been accelerated which would ensure comfort for the people,” he said.
Nawaz assured the legislators that the government would continue to work with the faster pace for completion of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects, restoration of law and order and elimination of energy crisis within shortest possible time.
He said the government was striving day and night for the wellbeing of the people. He said the resources of the government were a sacred trust of the people.The members of the National Assembly told the prime minister that the people had full confidence in his leadership as they were extremely happy about the development projects being executed by the government.
Appreciating the development offensive of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif across the country, parliamentarians and the PML-N leaders have maintained that people are extremely pleased with the endeavours of the premier and the government.
Pir Sabir Shah said the prime minister had become an apple of the masses eye in his province, as he had not only unfolded the agenda of progress for the province, but also undertaken projects which would change the fate of the people.
He felicitated the prime minister on his splendid campaign for development and successful public meetings in the province.“It has yet another time established beyond any doubt that the people of the country have full faith in the leadership of Nawaz Sharif who is a mature and sensible leader.”
Sabir said the current government in the KP had been making tall claims but it miserably failed to deliver and as a result the people were looking towards the PML-N as their savior. He was of the view that the PML-N would form majority government in 2018 polls in the KP under the dynamic leadership of Nawaz Sharif.
