Nothing to talk about

With the return to power of the Afghan Taliban, terrorist attacks have increased manifold in Pakistan. There is now little doubt that terrorist outfits have been able to find safe havens in Afghanistan and relations between Kabul and Islamabad appear to have reached a nadir. Those urging for the government to, yet again, negotiate or talk to the TTP are missing the point that a sovereign country cannot be put in the same bracket as a militant/terrorist organization. Besides, Pakistan has made it amply clear that it will not in any way negotiate with terrorists. The Afghan government must abide by the relevant international laws and treaties and ensure that their territory is not used by terrorists against any other nation.
