Rawalpindi: The butchers and chicken sellers are looting the public with both hands and selling 1-kilogram mutton at Rs2500, beef at Rs1500, and chicken meat at Rs850 per kilogram here on Tuesday.

The district administration and Rawalpindi officials have given them a free hand to loot the public with both hands. The residents of Rawalpindi have protested against butchers and chicken sellers for charging extra profit on special occasions.

Tuesday and Wednesday were meat holidays as a routine, butchers have opened their shops due to Eidul Fitr and are selling meat at the price of ‘gold’. The residents of Rawalpindi said that it is a big question mark on the poor performance of local administration in Rawalpindi that butchers and chicken sellers were looting public with both hands on the eve of Eidul Fitr.
