The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister is quite aggressive when talking to the media, but mostly ineffective when it comes to governance. The issue of loadshedding is yet to be resolved and the power system in the hilly areas of the province was totally dismantled by the rains and snows in March. Many in these areas were forced to spend Ramazan without any power. There has also been no respite for the poor. Inflation is as high as ever and unemployment remains unaddressed.
The PTI government should keep in mind that the people of KP have stuck by them and helped them achieve a plurality in this year’s elections. Without their support, the party may well have been on the verge of extinction. The PTI must reward their trust by addressing their concerns. Their political survival depends on it.
