LAHORE: Pakistan’s fast bowler Shaheen Afridi took to social media to share a cryptic post following his removal as captain of the T20I team, hinting at his disappointment with the decision.

After Babar Azam was reinstated as the white-ball captain, replacing Shaheen, the young pace spearhead expressed his feelings through an Instagram story. Shaheen’s captaincy journey began after Babar stepped down following Pakistan’s underwhelming performance at the ODI World Cup.

Despite leading the team during a challenging series against New Zealand, Shaheen’s tenure was short-lived as Babar was reinstated ahead of the upcoming T20I series against New Zealand and the T20 World Cup 2024.

The lanky pacer shared a video which stated that “never ever put me in a position where I have to show you how cruel and ruthless I can be. Don’t test my patience. Because I might be the kindest and sweetest person you’ve ever met, but once I reach my limit, you’ll see me do the things that no one thought I was capable of doing”.
