ISLAMABAD: National team footballer Fareedullah, who broke his shoulder during an away World Cup Football qualifying round match against Jordan, underwent surgery procedure at a local hospital in Lahore late Thursday evening.
Fareedullah broke down on the field while tackling a Jordanian defender during the first half of the match. He was carried away on the stretcher. He is unable to play any further role/part in Pakistan’s two remaining matches against Saudi Arabia (home) and against Tajikistan (away).
